PRESERVING YOUR FAMILY HERITAGE GARDEN

Join us to learn about vegetables, fruits, and flowers grown by your parents, grandparents and other ancestors. Discover ways to identify and document their choices and where to obtain additional information to preserve your garden heritage for future generations. Also learn about where to research more about your family’s lineage. Bring past family photographs and/or artifacts to share.

Instructor Bio: Marty Bergland

Marty is a lifelong gardener and has developed numerous gardening and related classes as a former Master Gardener (18 years). She helped the MN State Horticultural Society develop their Garden in a Box program and frequently presents gardening and pollinator classes. She has written several publications in the past and currently works with a green house in the spring and year-round with a local honey farm where she makes beeswax candles and other honey-related products.
