  • (ACT) Advantage Prep Classes (Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors) - Self Paced Class

    ADVANTAGE PREPARATORY COURSES – ACT FOR SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS & SENIORS Advantage Educational Programs gives students the option of preparing for the ACT exam in three different ways: the In-Person ACT Preparatory Course, the Virtual ACT Preparatory Course, or the Online ACT Preparatory Course. All three courses are designed for students who want to maximize their ACT exam score, as well as for those who feel uneasy about their test-taking skills or who have previously taken the exam and aren't satisfied with their results Virtual and In-Person clases meet for 3 hours, once each week for four weeks, with make-up classes also available. Focal points of the program include diagnostic testing, vocabulary development, intensive mathematical review, reading comprehension improvement, science reasoning, concentration improvement, overcoming test anxiety, essay writing, and time management. Students may repeat the courses in future offerings— free of charge. All class materials are included in the tuition fee. In addition, the Minnesota Tax Credit for Learning Programs may offer a state tax deduction to parents with children who participate in this program. Students may repeat this course at no charge until graduation from high school.

Kids’ Company also reserves the right to deny or limit service due to non-payment of previous charges or outstanding balances. Families currently participating in the program have priority over new registrants. Enrollment is not always guaranteed and is always on a space available basis. Please allow 3-5 business days to process. PROCESS Complete online registration Families will receive an auto confirmation indicating if registration is accepted or placed on waiting list. (Families can hold their spot for up to 3 months if not ready to start). In order to maintain enrollment, families are required to renew the contract annually by August. If a child will not be attending during the summer program, the spot can be held. Families will be charged for holidays if their contract day falls on a day closed due to a holiday. CONTRACTS MUST BE RENEWED ANNUALLY HOLD SPOT A monthly, non-refundable fee is charged to hold a spot in Kids’ Company Caring Hands Child Care for up to three months. Hold fees are not prorated or refundable. If you decide at the end of three months that you no longer need care, then your contract will be withdrawn.   • ADVANCED ROLLERS, SPRINGERS, ADVANCED SPRINGERS, AERIALS-2 HOUR CLASS

    KIPS is for girls in grade K – 6. Classes are divided according to age and skill level: “Advanced Rollers” is advanced beginners, “Springers” intermediate, “Advanced Springers” advanced intermediate, and “Aerials” advanced. Students in 3:20 classes may take the designated bus from the elementary school to the high school. Make sure to contact KOCH Bus Company prior, to identify the correct bus and ensure space is available. Please provide a note to the bus driver and teacher to ensure your student rides the correct bus on the day of class.

    BABYSITTING SAFETY INSTRUCTION AGE 11 & UP Boys and girls age 11+ learn skill training and information necessary in caring for infants and children in the American Health and Safety Institute accredited program. This program will teach the importance of responsibility, recognizing an emergency, emergency action steps, personal safety, fire and water safety, infant/child basic care, responding to an unconscious victim, CPR, choking management, and basic first aid. Upon successful completion, participants will earn a babysitting safety certification card. Please bring a pen, paper, snack and beverage. Program Prerequisites: Participants must be able to follow a series of directions, verbally communicate with peers and instructors, and be able to collaborate with their peers. Please Note: The April 11 class had a date change. The Class is now Saturday, April 13 2:15 - 5:15 pm

    Busy Ones (1 YEAR OLDS) The first half of class, parents and children will have fun with a variety of activities; art, learning games, reading, science, pretend play and more. The second half of class is the parent connection time. Our parent educator will provide resources and guide discussions on child development, parenting techniques and topics concerning families today. During this time, children will enjoy learning experiences, including opportunities to share and relate to friends their own age while playing in the classroom. Bring along any “security” item to make your child feel more comfortable during separation time.
