Fraud Awareness: Protecting Yourself in a Changing World

Scams and fraud are on the rise—and older adults are often targeted. This practical, easy-to-follow class is designed to help senior citizens recognize common scams, understand how fraudsters operate, and learn simple steps to protect their money and personal information.

Participants will explore real-world examples of phone, email, online, and in-person scams, including impostor scams, identity theft, and financial exploitation. The class emphasizes awareness, confidence, and prevention—no technical experience required. You’ll leave with practical tips, warning signs to watch for, and trusted resources to turn to if you suspect fraud.

This class is interactive, supportive, and focused on empowering you to stay safe and informed.
