  • 6th & 7th Grade Summer Band Camp

     6th & 7th GRADE SUMMER BAND CAMPOpen to all incoming 6th and 7th graders who are registered for band.A fun and excellent opportunity to get back into playing your instrument before the school year starts!During this camp, students will work on technique specific to their own instrument in sectional groups, learn to play in small ensembles, and put together small ensemble pieces in addition to preparing full concert band music.
  • Beginning Band Bootcamp-5th Grade

    BEGINNING BANK BOOTCAMP – 5th GRADEOpen to all incoming 5th graders who are registered for band.A great way to kick-off the 5th grade band experience!During this camp, students will be given their instruments, lesson books, and cleaning supplies.Things campers will learn include:how to put together and take apart their instruments safely, how to produce their first musical sounds with others on the same instrument and band rehearsal and lesson etiquette.Campers will conclude the week by playing with the large group in a short performance for parents and friends on Thursday, August 23rd at 10:30 am.While participation is not required, Ms. Tam-Anderson and Mr. McKnight strongly encourage all 5th grade band students to attend.More information about registration will be sent home to all incoming 5th grade students in the spring.

    DANCE’N TOTSAGE 2.5- 5 YEAR OLDSJoin us at the circus for our creative dance class in The Greatest Show! Our dancers will learn techniques in ballet, jazz, and pom. Both boys AND girls love our fun-filled classes!

    MUSIC STARSAGE 2.5- 5 YEAR OLDSCome along on a road trip with us as we visit our National Parks! Our program has your child up and moving and grooving while learning about different musical elements and playing fun instruments.

    PRIVATE VOICE, GUITAR OR PIANO LESSONS GR 5-12 Mr. Najjar, The W-M High School Choir Teacher, is excited to offer private lessons for students interested in learning guitar or piano, or advancing their singing skills. Weekly lessons are scheduled individually and are 30 minutes on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons this summer. Lessons are open to all 5-12 grade students, and will take place in the W-M High School Choir room. The instructor will contact the family to set up a time which works best for both parties.
  • Summer Band Lessons Grade 7-12

    SUMMER BAND LESSONS Entering GR 7-12 The Summer Private Music Lesson Program is designed to provide an opportunity to significantly improve instrument skills. Lessons during the summer are a priceless resource for a young, developing musician. During school, a lesson is only 15 minutes in length and usually alongside several peers, whereas summer lessons are taught individually for 30 minutes. Summer private lesson program members will undoubtedly show a higher rate of progress on their instrument because of the individualized instruction. Watertown-Mayer band directors Vicki Tam-Anderson and Ian McKnight are offering lessons this summer to interested students. Lessons are open to all instrumentalists entering grades 7-12.Registration materials will be sent home in May to all band members.  Time: 30 minute increments between 8 – 4:30 pm
