    Beginner Guitar Class

    Beginner Guitar Class Ages 10 - 14 years old Group lessons provide a fun, supportive environment for students to learn the basics of the guitar. This class focuses on essential skills including basic chords, strumming patterns, and reading tablature to get students playing songs quickly. Learning together allows students to build confidence and musicianship skills simultaneously. Music is included. One make-up lesson is offered, and can be individually scheduled.     Private Music Lessons (Voice, Piano, Guitar, Bass, Banjo, Ukulele) Private, 30 minute weekly lessons in Voice, Piano, Guitar, Bass, Banjo, and Ukulele available throughout the summer. Private lessons allow students to pursue music they're interested in, and get personalized tools and skills to help achieve their goals. Music is included, as well as the option to participate in a recital at the end of the session. Session will run from June 9-August 20th (no lessons the week of June 29th - July 6th) Students should plan to have their own instrument to practice on.     SUMMER YOUTH THEATRE -- SUMMER 2026 ABOUT SUMMER YOUTH THEATRE This program is an opportunity for young people grades 3-8 (2025-2026 school year) to experience the many facets of theater with the culminating event being a weekend of performances. Participants will learn about aspects and techniques of producing a major production, experice a perfoming before an audience, gain and understanding of discipline and responsibility, experience how individual cooperation affects of the success of the show group, and enjoy the the rewards of group and person al achievements. Parts will be assigned after the first two rehearsals.There is not a traditional audition process and no actors are cut. While no students are cut due to ability or skill, the cast is capped at 50 participants. ABOUT THE PLAY A staple of Summer Youth Theatre (SYT) is original scripts and music. New musical are written each year to remain timely and relevant, and older participants contribute to the script with ideas and feedback. This year’s play takes place at the circus. Join the fun as acrobats, lion tamers, and ring masters work to save the traditions of their circus. More details about this year's show can be found on the Summer Youth Theatre Website. The experience helps the students gain theater skills, knowledge, and confidence. Summer Youth Theatre (SYT) provides an excellent avenue for enhancing our sense of community. Those involved in the production, from students to adults, represent the full range of members of our community.     Summer Private Music Lessons - Grades 6 - 12

    Summer Band Lessons Grades 6 - 12 The Summer Private Music Lesson Program is designed to provide an opportunity to significantly improve instrument skills. Lessons during the summer are a priceless resource for a young, developing musician. During school, a lesson is only 15 minutes in length and usually alongside several peers, whereas summer lessons are taught individually for 30 minutes. Summer private lesson program members will show a higher rate of progress on their instrument because of the individualized instruction. Watertown-Mayer band director Miles Otstot is offering lessons this summer to interested students. Lessons are open to all instrumentalists entering grades 6-12. 30 Minute Sessions (families will be contacted to confirm lesson times) Dates of Lessons: June - 10, 17, 24 July - 29 August 5, 12
