  • SUMMER YOUTH THEATRE (SYT) - Summer 2025

SUMMER YOUTH THEATRE -- SUMMER 2025 -- PIRATES! Due to high demand for the program, all families will be wait listed at first. Confirmation of registration will be sent early April. Although no student is cut due to ability or skill, the program only has 50 spots available with priority given to past participants. No refunds will be issued once confirmation has been confirmed. Team of Director: Hannah & Jake Rosholt, Lauren Keyes, Nikki Hunkins ABOUT SUMMER YOUTH THEATRE This program is an opportunity for young people grades 3-8 (2024-2025 school year) to experience the many facets of theater with the culminating event being a weekend of performances. Parts will be assigned after the first two rehearsals, so there is not a traditional audition process and no actors are cut. While no students are cut due to ability or skill, the cast is capped at 50 participants. A commitment to the rehearsal schedule and parental involvement is expected. Participants cannot miss more than four rehearsals total, and no more than one rehearsal after the 4th of July. Attendance is mandatory for the final week of rehearsals and all performances. Parents are required to donate a minimum of two hours volunteer work per child to help with the production. Due to the high number of registrants, there is no refund once a participant has been taken off the waitlist. All potential participants must complete a schedule survey with conflicts prior to being accepted into the program. Registration typically fills up within 12-24 hours and may be closed after the first day. When registering you will be placed on a waitlist. Priority is given to past participants. You will be moved from the waitlist once you are accepted to the program. ABOUT THE PLAY A staple of Summer Youth Theatre (SYT) is original scripts and music. New musical are written each year to remain timely and relevant, and older participants contribute to the script with ideas and feedback. This year's play will be about pirates!
