    Church Basement Ladies in Plowin’ Thru Tour The Church Basement Ladies are at it again! After an included lunch buffet at Q. Cumbers, which features a 50’ long salad bar, a variety of hot entrees, soup and ice cream/desert bar, we’re on our way to the Ames Center in Burnsville for the Church Basement Ladies in Plowin’ Thru.In the 9th installment of the highly successful series, the year is 1975 and all your favorite characters are back. All participants may need masks as well as proof of vaccination or a current negative test result.

    Remembering Bobby Vee Our destination is the Ives Auditorium in Bloomington where we’ll begin with an included lunch of creamy chicken breast served with roasted red potatoes, glazed carrots, coleslaw, dinner roll, dessert and coffee or tea. (Special dietary meals are available by request ahead of time.) Then we’ll head for the theatre for Dancing Lessons. A professional dancer with a career-ending injury is thrown for a loop when a geoscientist shows up on her doorstep asking for a dance lesson. Offering her an absurd amount of money to teach him enough moves to avoid embarrassing himself at an awards dinner, these two mis-matched souls engage in a series of lessons that lead them both out of their comfort zone.     Minnesota State Fair Thursday, September 1, 2022 It’s Senior Day at the Minnesota State Fair and it’s been awhile! We’ll have about five hours to check things out. Perhaps it’s agriculture that will be of interest to you, including the livestock and Machinery Hill. It could be the shows throughout the grounds. If you’re young or young at heart, the Midway, Kidway or thrill rides at Adventure Park could be your destination. Bring your appetite and check out the interesting variety of foods available throughout the fairgrounds.     Mississippi Lock & Dam Boat Cruise We are so fortunate to once again enjoy this tour… four hours of relaxation and a great buffet meal! We’re headed for Harriet Island in St. Paul where we’ll take in the beautiful sites along this historically narrated cruise, which travels through the Ford Lock and Dam - Lock #1, from St. Paul into Minneapolis then returning to Harriet Island. It truly is amazing how the riverboat is raised and lowered to get through the lock. Kids will love it, and we’ll most probably see eagles along the river! We’ll be treated to an included buffet lunch of BBQ chicken, pulled pork with buns, green chili cheddar corn bread, potato salad, coleslaw, watermelon wedges, cookies and coffee.     Remembering Bobby Vee We’ll begin with an included buffet lunch at the Coyote Moon Grille and then head for the St. Cloud Paramount Theatre for Remembering Bobby Vee. The Killer Vees, featuring Jeff, Tommy, Matt, and Bennett Vee, reunite to honor their father, uncle, grandfather, mentor and bandleader, Bobby Vee. The show features video and stories from Bobby’s career along with all the hits. Bobby Vee’s career started in Moorhead, MN on February 3, 1959, when his group The Shadows volunteered to help fill in after learning about the plane crash that took the lives of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper. And so began an international career that spanned 52 years and saw Bobby tour the world and land 38 songs in the Hot 100. All participants may be required to have a mask and show proof of vaccination or Negative Covid Test.

    We’ve missed this tour the past two years, and I’ve had lots of requests to bring it back!This tour has it all… one of the best meat markets in the state, the #1 ranked MN brewery (WCCO-TV), a pizza buffet, and a very popular light display… all in one tour… and just in time for Christmas! We’ll begin with casual shopping at Schmidt’s Meat Market in Nicollet. (I really suggest that you bring coolers with your name clearly marked on them.) After you’ve had time to buy those Christmas party meats, we’ll head to Schell’s Brewery in New Ulm for a tour and tasting of their fine products. Not a beer drinker? They also make 1919 rootbeer. By now we’re hungry, so we’re off to the Pizza Ranch for an included late afternoon pizza buffet. (They’re even opening their buffet early just for us.) We’ll end our day with the beautiful Kiwanis Holiday Lights in Mankato.

    Stillwater Fall Colors Boat Cruise This has become an annual favorite event, but we’ve missed it the last two years. It is so relaxing and also a reminder that our seasons are changing. Hopefully, we’ll see some beautiful fall colors. I am so impressed with the included deli buffet lunch. You could build your own sandwich with all sorts of ingredients and add warm entree’ selections and dessert. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick up time
  • Taylors Falls/Fawn-Doe-Rosa Tour

    Taylors Falls/Fawn-Doe-Rosa Tour Covid stopped us in 2020 and 2021. This tour was so great in 2019! Make it a special day and bring the kids/grandkids! We begin with an 80 minute boat cruise of the St. Croix River Valley while we enjoy an included box lunch ham and cheese or turkey and cheese sandwich. A gluten free salad is also available. (You must make meal choices with your registration or you’ll be served a ham sandwich.) Beer, wine, soda, coffee, and lemonade are available for purchase. Then we’ll take a five minute ride to Fawn-Doe-Rosa Wildlife Educational Park where we’ll see all sorts of animals we may see often or may rarely see and wonder what they actually look like up close and personal (llamas, ferrets, skunk, porcupine, badgers, coyote, bobcats, and elk)… and you may purchase treats for the animals for just $1.75. Bring your cellphones and/or cameras. You may even walk through the park with a deer by your side. It’s a pretty awesome experience for all ages!
