SUMMER YOUTH THEATRE -- SUMMER 2025 

ABOUT SUMMER YOUTH THEATRE
This program is an opportunity for young people grades 3-8 (2024-2025 school year) to experience the many facets of theater with the culminating event being a weekend of performances. Participants will learn about aspects and techniques of producing a major production, experice a perfoming before an audience, gain and understanding of discipline and responsibility, experience how individual cooperation affects of the success of the show group, and enjoy the  the rewards of group and person al achievements. Parts will be assigned after the first two rehearsals.There is not a traditional audition process and no actors are cut. While no students are cut due to ability or skill, the cast is capped at 50 participants.

ABOUT THE PLAY
A staple of Summer Youth Theatre (SYT) is original scripts and music. New musical are written each year to remain timely and relevant, and older participants contribute to the script with ideas and feedback. This year's play will be about pirates! Thank you for your interest in donating to Summer Youth Theatre as it gives youth a way to be active outside of athletics and allows youth a chance to express themselves. The experience helps the students gain theater skills, knowledge, and confidence. Summer Youth Theatre (SYT) provides an excellent avenue for enhancing our sense of community.  Those involved in the production, from students to adults, represent the full range of members of our community. Money raised is used to support the program and students who have finanical barriers to participating.  The registration fee is $150 and includes a t-shirt and DVD for the participant.
