Lessons during the summer are a priceless resource for a young, developing musician. During school, a lesson is only 15 minutes in length and usually alongside several peers, whereas summer lessons are taught individually for 30 minutes. Summer private lesson program members will show a higher rate of progress on their instrument because of the individualized instruction. Watertown-Mayer band directors Miles Otstot and Vicki Tam-Anderson are offering lessons this summer to interested students. Lessons are open to all instrumentalists entering grades 6-12.
